There was a post titled , "ghetto games" about the proliferation of actual street beatdowns on dvd for sale to the general public . seems to be another way to exploit violence by capturing individuals beating the hell out of each other , or groups of people ganging up on one helpless person and beating them into a stupor or worse...supposedly these "ghetto fight" urban violence videos were the brainchild of the same jackasses who brought us the infamous "jackass" videos .
these highly "popular" jackass videos were showcases for unbridled stupidity where pure fools would attempt smaller versions of "evel knievel" type stunts of pure idiocy and capture themselves on dvd doing things like FAILING to successfully ride bicycles off of rooftops and into swimming pools --and as predictibly as the poor imitations of roadrunner cartoons that they turned out to be , painfully smacking themselves onto the concrete below -- if "lucky" not being too busted up to prevent them from foolishly trying again someother day ...
like savvy businessmen , hedging their bets , these "jackass" idiots , while still riding the popularity of the "jackass" wave , then diversified from jackassery and brought forth the "bum fights" series .
if memory serves correctly ,there was a news article that said the "bum fights" series --where homeless people are given $10 , drugs and /or liquor to fight each other on video, also featured some little creep calling himself "the bum hunter" who went around beating sleeping homeless people to death-- sometimes dousing them with flammable chemicals, incinerating them etc. etc. --all on DVD .
the article went on to say that "bum hunter" spawned a host of "copy cat killers" and about 60 or more homeless people had been stalked and killed in the Us ...about one killing on DVD for sale , surfacing per month , i believe .
now the same mob-vigilante ,twisted mentality that will be ready to jump up and go to war with anyone like me that they suspect of " not supporting the troops in iraq"--a war and its troops that i refuse to in any way support because it is clearly a war of aggression and its participants should have enough sense to KNOW BETTER --these same knuckleheaded , "support our troops--shoot an anti-war protester today" types --who appear to be some of the "bum fights / bum hunter" fans , must also be too twisted to realize that a large portion of the homeless "bums" providing them "entertainment" are former military and war veterans--troops from imperialism's wars past WHO GOT NO SUPPORT from their own leaders when they returned home from the Us government sponsored killing fields.
perhaps this inviting future of being beaten to death by some sick ,punk kids while broke , booze and drug addicted , unwashed , hungry and sleeping homeless , will be ample warning to anyone foolish enough to consider fighting for , "use 'em up-throw 'em away" redneck sam .
