so where have you been for two months sekou?

ok , we've been working on a pan-afrikanist themed novel that we estimate is about 1/3 to 1/2 complete . we've been leaving samples of it on a few different sites around the web .

haven't named it yet , but "sleepwalkers of gubal" might be a working title.

the "sleepwalkers of the temples of gubal" are a secret order devoted to re-empowering blacks globally through commerce . "gubal" was one of the names for the phonecian commercial city of byblos --ancient byblos had a thriving trade in books --from where we get the modern root word for library -- the sleepwalkers' nemesis is another secret order called 'the noble scion of gleaming neoptolemus' taken from the iliad for the name of the son of the greek warrior achilles .

what it boils down to is this --from readings in the iliad we became convinced that the ancient city of troy was actually a phoenician typed city that was attacked , conquered , sacked and destroyed by the ancient greeks as part of their aspirations to drive the phoenicians out of the aegean sea area and gain control of the wealth of phoenicia .

at the time phoenicia controled the medeterranean and was closely allied with its relatives in Khemet and Ethiopia --it appears to have been a 1000 year war between the phoenicians and their extended family vrs the greeks and then the romans , over who would control the wealth of the region . africa's nile river empties into the mediterranean .

the conquest of troy becomes for the greeks , the blueprint of sorts for later conquest of rich cities to the east and south .

Alexander the great carries the war to its greatest extent , against the wealthy cities of egypt and into the persian empire and all the way to india . but "the 1000 year war" culminates with the roman destruction of carthage about 150 bc .

in the novel , this same battle continues today-- carried out by the two secret societies as "the sleepwalkers of the temples of gubal" attempt to restore black strength through commerce while "the noble scion of gleaming neoptolemus" attempt to loot and destroy them .

neoptolemus in the illiad --while the greeks loot and burn troy-- he kills the little boy who is the heir to the throne by throwing him from the walls of the city explaining that the boy , " might one day become a king of troy --and we want no more kings of troy . "

here's an excerpt :

The more Necrophilius read from the captured computer disc , the more he became convinced that the Order of the Noble Scion would have to annihilate the "goobs" . Their paths would inevitably cross , their purposes inevitably clash .

Potentially , there was simply too much wealth at stake. It was up for grabs and the Noble Scion would definitely grab it .

The "goobs" would lose and Necrophilius --even if he had begun to understand from reading the captured disc , the goob point of view --knew they simply were on the wrong side of history and destined to lose.

Necrophilius saw himself as a winner --part of the winning team . All the goob talk of new social relations between the races based on mutual respect and global egalitarian meritocracy --"goob egoobitarian merrygoobacy " --was just talk. The Order of the Noble Scion was reality. They had the power , the goobs had none .

He paused to take a sip from the large Mountain Dew and a few bites from the Big Mac and cold fries that would be his dinner at his desk in his small apartment as he continued mulling over the computer screen , thoughts orbiting inside his awareness .

" Look at how we just walked in there and ran them out of their houses. They got no power --just a lot of goob hocus pocus --'sleep dance' --'sacred coffee ceremony ' --nonsense and superstition . No real power ."

"They build something -- anything -- we run them out and take it all away from them . Everything they build we take . Look at their music --we own it . Ragtime , Blues , Jazz , Rock and Roll , Rhythm and Blues , Soul , Hip hop !? We control it all . They create it --we sell it and cash the checks . "

Shaking his head in amusement he scrolled down to a pair of maps saved on the computer disc --one of ocean currents and the second of the Fertile Crescent .

Underneath the ocean currents map the goob author had written .

" The early Blacks were a seafaring people --thus the global presence of Early Africans throughout the Mediterranean , the Middle east , Southern Asia , South east Asia , Australia and the Islands of the South Pacific . And from west Africa across the southern Atlantic to the Americas . It can no longer reasonably be denied or ignored . "

"Scholars such as Ivan van Sertima , Runoko Rashidi , Wayne Chandler , Clyde Ahmed Winters , James Brunson , Chancellor Williams , Cheik Anta Diop , and others had beyond doubt re-established knowledge of an early African presence in southern Asia and the Western Hemisphere . "

"In fact , Rashidi in his book 'Classical African Civilizations' , states that the first people to settle in southern Asia were blacks from Africa . The huge populations of Blacks in modern day India (over 100 million ) is continuing evidence of this ancient presence . "

"The early Greeks such as Herodotus , referred to the Blacks of Asia as the 'Eastern Ethiopians' and the Blacks of Africa as the 'Western Ethiopians' . As outsiders chronicling what they observed in the ancient world , the Greeks obviously saw a connection between these much older Eastern and Western groups of Blacks --both of which they called ' Ethiopians ' ."

"Also worth mentioning is that these same Greek observers then , referred to what is now the Indian Ocean as the "Ethiopian sea " --indicating a level of sea commerce , transport and communication between the ' Eastern' and 'Western Ethiopians ' significant enough to be easily visible to outsiders . "

"From observation of maps of ocean currents it is easy to see what Van Sertima referred to as a ' conveyer belt ' of ocean currents that would have carried early seafarers from west Africa across the southern Atlantic and directly to South America and the Caribbean ."

" There are similar ocean currents that would have carried ancient seafarers from east Africa and the Persian Gulf region across the Indian ocean near to the Indian subcontinent and through south east Asia's Malay peninsula , over to the Philippines and to the islands of the south Pacific and Australia . "

"That there are to this day , Blacks deposited in significant numbers throughout these regions is irrefutable evidence of what Rashidi refers to as ' The Global African Presence ' . "

" After destroying Carthage , the Romans would brag 'The Mediterranean is a Roman lake'--but long before that , it was a Phoenician one .-- 'The Mediterranean is a Phoenician lake and permission must be gained from Carthage before washing one's hands in it .'

"As mentioned previously the Nile river flows from south to north and empties commerce into the Mediterranean . Ancient Africans were likely the first settlers on the shores of the Mediterranean eventually building civilizations on both sides of it and using that sea as their regional commercial highway .

From observations on any regional maps it is clear the Mediterranean serves as early civilization's water highway on the West -- while what is now called the Persian Gulf and Arabian sea -- serves as early civilization's water highway to the east . "

" In between these two water highways we find the Fertile Crescent of civilization --the birth place of Black Sumer and Elam ."

" ' Mesopotamia' in Greek means ' The Land Between the Two Rivers ' --the Tigris and the Euphrates ( just as the Greek word 'hippopotamus ' translates as something like ' river horse ' ) . "

" It is the Fertile Crescent that many centuries before the Greeks observers of Herodotus' time arrive , serves as the physical link between what the Greeks would call the Western Ethiopians and the Eastern Ethiopians . It is the area now called the Middle east or Western Asia and it is crucial to understanding the rise and fall of the Ancient Global Blacks . "

"Africa , Asia and Europe meet here . It was then and still is now 'The Crossroads of the World ' . Control of this region has been fought over by various nations and empires for about six to eight millennia --with the winners setting themselves in position for greater wealth , higher civilization , and enhanced global power . "

The Early Blacks eventually lost this region but not without a tremendous fight --but the most formidable and most significant opponent they faced in this losing struggle , may have been the changing climate itself. "

Necrophilius as a Noble Scion , did not like what he was reading and found it quite offensive , but convinced himself that learning this information from the captured document could eventually give the advantage over , and insight into , his enemy that he needed to smash the "goobs" , secure his promotion to Knight of the Order --perhaps even obtain him a seat in the Oligarchy .
