the questionable "suicide" of gary webb

Was Gary Webb murdered? was he continuing his investigation into CIA drug smuggling ? Did he report being followed and twice surprising "burglars" in his house before his death...Was he killed by a shotgun blast to the face or two .38 wounds to the head ? ... and why would there be any confusion by professionals between the two vastly different type of weapon wounds?
